Gone in 10 minutes... That's all it took for a risk-taking car thief to steal famed actor John Travolta's vintage wheels from a Santa Monica side street in broad daylight. The Expendables 2 leading man had dropped into a local Jaguar dealership. He may have come in one car, but he left in another... and not by choice. His 1970 Mercedes Benz 280-SL was gone when he returned to his spot. Santa Monica Police Sgt. Richard Lewis says, "It's a grand theft auto investigation for a crime that happened in a 10-minute window." So far officials don't know if Travolta was tailed by the thief or thieves, or if his sleek ride was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. According to insiders, the car is said to be worth about $35,000, but it might be worth as much as $100,000.
