After roasting an entire roster of stars, you'd think Office creator and Golden Globes 2011 host Ricky Gervais would be out of the running to host the 2012 show. But that's not the case at all, E! Online reports. The Hollywood Foreign Press tweeted the news Thursday that Gervais would be back to host the show once again, so Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Charlie Sheen and pretty much the rest of Hollywood better start growing that thick skin they're going to need to withstand his blistering jokes come January. Gervais's hosting, or roasting, as the case may be, duties included basically calling Tom Cruise gay, referencing the film I Love You, Phillip Morris - "Two heterosexual actors pretending to be gay. Sort of the complete opposite of some famous Scientologists then...My lawyers helped me with the wording of that joke." Then he busted on everyone's favorite punchline, Charlie Sheen, saying "It's gonna be a night of partying and heavy drinking, or as Charlie Sheen calls it, breakfast." And the hits kept coming. At one point in last year's show, Gervais went MIA, prompting rumors that he'd been fired mid-show. But the Hollywood Foreign Press and Gervais denied the rumor, saying the hour or so when Gervais was off-camera was planned. The 69th Annual Golden Globes will air on Jan. 15, 2012.
