Actress and singer Queen Latifah, aka Dana Owens, is making a joyful noise over potential plans to adopt. The singer, who has long refused to discuss her sexuality, was making an appearance on The View this week when the topic of children came up. Although she has never publicly discussed her love life, the 42-year-old Ice Age: Continental Drift actress has reportedly been in a relationship with a famous female trainer for years. While View host Barbara Walters shied away from the controversy of Latifah's love life, she did probe her on the possibility of adoption. Latifah admitted she sees the pitter-patter of little feet in her future. She told Walters, "I'm actually kind of working on that. I think I saw one of those specials... you know those movies of the week. And it was like -- I just always wanted to bring a child home." Despite making light of it, Latifah says adopting a child is a given for her. She added, "I'm totally serious. So if you got a kid that you don't... Just give me a year -- let me set up camp and send me the kid! But no, no, totally." When she does make it official, Latifah will join celebrities like Sheryl Crow, Jillian Michaels, Sandra Bullock, Charlize Theron and others who have adopted.
