But now Spencer Pratt is doing a complete about-face and even copping to the fact that he's a total d-bag. In what might be his most sane statement ever, The Hills villain issued a very public apology to Frankenbarbie and admits to being a first-class douche. The 27-year-old wannabe celeb tells People magazine, "Divorce can be a trying, draining, and emotionally devastating experience for all involved. Despite these hardships, most individuals manage to conduct themselves with dignity and maturity. I did not - I failed spectacularly." Although he doesn't go into details about his bad behavior, he's allegedly been shopping around a stolen sex tape of Playboy playmate Karissa Shannon. It's still a mystery who appears in the flesh flick with Shannon, although there are rumors it is Smallville actor and boyfriend Sam Jones. The human and humble side of Pratt put in a rare appearance Tweeting, "I need to apologize to Heidi and my 11.5 fans. I'm an epic douche -- and you deserve better." Over the last couple of years, Pratt's erratic and outrageous behavior has alienated friends, family and even employers with MTV kicking him to the curb after he threatened to kill a Hills producer. Pratt tells People he's planning on doing some "intense soul-searching" and following "appropriate avenues for my issues," which hopefully includes a whole lot of therapy combined with some serious anger management.
