Former Child Actor Goes from Home Alone to Heroin Addiction

New boyfriend Ashton Kutcher must look like a peach right about now to Mila Kunis, especially when put up against longtime ex Macaulay Culkin. According to the National Enquirer, the 31-year-old has made the tragic transformation from adorable Home Alone actor to hardcore heroin addict. Close friends maintain that Culkin is banging heroin and oxycodone. His drug problems are so serious he has already nearly overdosed once, insiders reveal. Recent photos show a gaunt, strung-out looking Culkin. Although his reps deny the allegations that he's spent thousands of dollars on prescription drugs, sources close to the washed-out actor tell a way different tale. The Enquirer is reporting that Culkin shells out as much as $6,000 a month on illicit drugs. He supposedly spends his time holed up in his Manhattan apartment where he shoots up heroin and other prescription pills. He has supposedly been on one never-ending binge since his career tanked and his eight-year relationship with Kunis came to an end about 18 months ago. One source tells the Enquirer, "Macaulay Culkin is hooked on drugs and it's killing him! He's been hooked for a year and a half, and his drug of choice is either heroin or oxycodone. Mac is surrounding himself with junkies and lowlifes. It's a real tragedy." Friends of the actor admit that Culkin's addictions could cost him his life, "Macaulay Culkin is surely dying. He's addicted to heroin, oxycodone, Percocet and Vicodin. I have witnessed his drug taking, which has escalated over the past year and a half to the point where he needs serious help. His closest friends fear that he'll overdose or his heart will explode. If he doesn't get help and enter rehab now, he could be dead in six months." Naturally, his reps denied the story, calling it "fictitious" and asking that people consider the source, aka a tabloid: "We beseech the responsible media to consider the source and its reputation and to please not perpetuate this destructive and insulting story by pursuing it any further," a rep told TMZ.
