Arena favorite Jimmy Buffett gave Parrotheads a scare at a Sydney, Australia, show Wednesday when he took a spill off the stage and into a metal bar, then hit the concrete. But don't blame the margaritas - it seems the lighting director chose the moment when Buffett was headed into the audience to shake hands to splash bright light across the stage. The "Fins" singer misjudged the edge of the stage and fell into the pit, sustaining a nasty gash and being knocked unconscious, according to TMZ. An audience member said during "Lovely Cruise" - Buffett's encore song - he took the fall, then lay unconscious for 5-10 minutes. He was rushed to Sydney's St. Vincent's Hospital for treatment, where Radaronline.com reports hospital spokesperson Denise Coughlan said, "Mr. Buffett was brought to us at around 11.30 p.m. on Wednesday evening. His latest condition update is stable, although he is still under observation." Buffett's Web site says the crooner is doing well and expected to be released tomorrow. Sounds like he'll live to enjoy another cheeseburger in paradise.
