View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck probably has a call into a podiatrist to have her foot removed from her mouth after last Thursday's episode of the hit talk show. The ultra-conservative blonde was interviewing veteran actor Stanley Tucci about his new movie The Lovely Bones. Tucci commented that his wife wanted him to turn down the role of the creepy rapist/murderer. That's when Hasselbeck showed that she hadn't done her homework. She chimed in and asked if wife Kate had seen the movie, which was highly unlikely since she died last spring. Tucci responded "no," and looked away from Hasselbeck. Having made the ultimate faux pas, Hasselbeck took to her Twitter account to talk about the mortifying experience, "It was an honest mistake with stanley tucci today & i called him to apologize. He forgave me (such grace)- if only i could forgive myself..." Here's hoping that she's properly prepped next time around.
