Diddy Dustup: Blame it on the A-a-alcohol
Apparently all it takes to get on rapper Diddy's bad side is to choose the wrong drink. One man found out the hard way that Ciroc vodka really is the best choice when you party with Diddy. The BET Hip Hop Awards Weekend was held in Atlanta last weekend, and there was plenty of liquor flowing at the clubs afterward. Diddy and his ex-con buddy, TI, hit up Compound to party when Diddy noticed a man drinking Grey Goose vodka. That just simply wouldn't do, because Sean Combs is a longtime spokesman for rival vodka, Ciroc. Diddy let his disapproval be known, hitting the mike not to rap but to spew racist and homophobic insults at the poor guy. And unfortunately, it was all caught on tape. Diddy yelled, "B*tch ass n**gas ... put that sh*t down ... before I come smack that purple shirt off your ass." He continued insulting the guy's drink choice and even threw ice at him, saying, "What the f**k are you gonna do, b*tch? F**king f*ggot ass light skin n**gas get the f*ck out of my face." An unlikely peacemaker intervened in the form of TI, who was just released from prison and likely doesn't want to have any part of anything that could jeopardize his probation. He grabbed the mic and said, "I done paid enough time ... and nobody else in this motherf**ker [who is] talking about fighting done did no time." TMZ reports the mogul's mea culpas are coming fast and furious now. "I'm sorry for the ignorant way I repesented [sic] myself ... I have backslid and regressed. Forgive me for my ignorance. Pray for me pls. I know better and I am better. I have a responibility [sic] that I promise I will live up to. And I'm more dissapointed [sic] in myself than you know. I will humble myself and learn." As for the guy on the receiving end of the verbal abuse, TMZ spoke to Ricky Parker, who says Diddy "humiliated and disrespected" him and that he won't support the hip hop legend any more.
