Are former Hollywood power couple Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher getting back together? According to one tabloid, it's highly possible. Sources tell the Sunday Mirror that one "60-second embrace" could erase all of the headaches and heartaches the couple has gone through over the last year. Last fall, the Two and a Half Men star was caught cheating with a younger, blonder party girl on his sixth wedding anniversary with Moore. Since splitting, 49-year-old Moore overdosed and completed a stint in rehab. Meanwhile, the 34-year-old hunk has been romantically linked with Rihanna, Mila Kunis and other Hollywood hotties almost half his ex-wife's age. Now, insiders (aka eternal optimists) are saying that a reunion could be in the works. It all went down during a birthday party for Kabbalah Rabbi Yehuda Berg, the man who presided over their marriage. Supposedly, Kutcher was giving a speech at the event when he told guests, "I've made all these horrendous mistakes in the last year..." You don't say... One source reveals that during the heartfelt speech "Ashton's voice started to break as he spoke. He just fell into tears. He sat down to a round of applause while Demi just looked frozen." Although it sounds like a gross exaggeration, it's possible the occasion made him sentimental. Of course, it's also possible he was weepy over his sitcom's poor ratings or the prospect of a "Jobs"-less future. The actor is currently filming a flick where he plays the late Steve Jobs, while the future of his CBS show remains in limbo after next season. The Sunday Mirror reports that Kutcher arrived at the party first, followed by his estranged wife two hours later. The source says, "Ashton was there quietly socializing and Demi showed up a couple of hours later looking amazing. She went over to wish Yehuda a happy birthday and Ashton was right by him. Yehuda left them to talk. They started to chat and were extremely affectionate. She was staring at him like a love-sick puppy." Couple that with the fact that they were "locked in a 60-second embrace," and there is now a ton of speculative chatter about a reunion between the May-December actors. Ashton and Moore were supposedly sitting close to each other with a friend in between them. Of course, everybody knows that a brief hug and some interaction do not a reconciliation make. So don't count those Kabbalah strings before they're threaded.
