America may have talent, but it no longer has serial alcohol David Hasselhoff. The troubled-plagued judge has bid farewell to the popular talent show, and ironically, he's actually leaving on his own accord. The former Baywatch star tells People magazine he's actually moving on to bigger or better things, like his own television show. Although he's starred in such "hits" as Knight Rider and Baywatch, we're betting his new gem will be of the reality kind. Hopefully, there will be a nice tie-in with a stint in rehab seeing how the Hoffster has been repeatedly hospitalized this year for numerous alcohol-related issues. Despite the rocky year, the 57-year-old tells the magazine, "I am proud that I was part of making America's Got Talent the No. 1 rated show for the past four summers. It's been a rewarding experience and now I'm thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly. I want to thank my friend, (executive producer) Simon Cowell, and everyone at NBC and Fremantle for the opportunity for four great years." There are no specifics on the upcoming project. NBC issued the following statement, "David's been an integral part of the success of America's Got Talent and we are sad to see him go. We wish him all the best with his new show." Translation: Thank God he quit before they had to can him.
