Dane Cook is just the latest comic to push the envelope way too far. The actor is in hot water after attempting to make light of the Dark Knight Rises massacre that left 12 people dead and 58 injured. What anybody could possibly find humorous about that is beyond us. However, here was the 40-year-old unfunny man's attempt. While performing at the Laugh Factory, Cook brought up the latest film in the Batman franchise, telling his audience, "So I heard that the guy came into the theater about 25 minutes into the movie ... And I don't know if you've seen the movie, but the movie is pretty much a piece of crap ... yeah, spoiler alert. now that if none of that would have happened, pretty sure that somebody in that theater, about 25 minutes in, realizing it was a piece of crap, was probably like 'ugh f*cking shoot me.'" A video of the comments was quickly posted on the DailyCaller.com. Cook cracked the joke one week after the Colorado attack. And it wasn't long before he was the one under fire for being so insensitive. Cook immediately began doing some major backtracking, "I am devastated by the recent tragedy in Colorado & did not mean to make light of what happened. I made a bad judgment call with my material last night & regret making a joke at such a sensitive time. My heart goes out to all of the families & friends of the victims."
