Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams renewed our faith in love in the tear-jerking classic The Notebook... and even more so when their on-screen love affair turned into a real life romance. It seemed like the cute couple was destined for wedding bells.

But it wasn't meant to be. Gosling recently told GQ that although The Notebook "introduced me to one of the great loves of my life," they're a done deal.

Says Gosling about their dramatic demise: "The only thing I remember is we both went down swingin' and we called it a draw."
