It looks like on-again/off-again couple Chris Brown and Rihanna kindred spirits once again...at least when it comes to getting inked. Whether it's coincidence or convenience is anybody's guess. The amicable exes, who set tongues wagging and heads shaking when they engaged in a cozy embrace at last week's VMAs, both debuted new artwork this week. And like the star-crossed singers, the tattoos are every bit as controversial. For the Barbados beauty, it was a ginormous image of the Goddess Isis -- right under the "We Found Love" singer's breasts. Rihanna got the tat to memorialize her grandmother who died of cancer three months ago. She Tweeted, "Goddess Isis- Complete Woman - Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart #1love." Isis happens to be the Egyptian goddess of rebirth; she's also the image associated with female empowerment, kind of ironic considering there are rumors the 24-year-old is still canoodling with her abusive ex. Speaking of Brown, he got some ink of his own...and it ain't pretty. The 23-year-old "Turn Up the Music" singer got an illustration of a woman's face on the side of his neck. Raising eyebrows is that fact that the woman in the image is beaten on one side of her face, much in the way Rihanna appeared after Brown attacked her almost four years ago. Although insiders maintain the tattoo is a "random woman," she bears an uncanny resemblance to Rihanna. While one side of the gal's face is exotic and unscathed, the other shows a black eye and bruising on the right side of her face and lips that have been stitched. So far it's unclear what message Brown is trying to send, but it definitely brings to mind the ugly incident.
