What Amanda Bynes likes about her dad is that he sticks up for her. That's exactly what Rick Bynes is doing in the wake of his daughter's high-profile DUI arrest. The What I Like About You star clipped a police car last Friday night and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, but her dad says that's just not possible. Rick Bynes told People, "She was not drunk. I was told that she blew a zero on the Breathalyzer. She didn't have a single drink that night. My daughter doesn't drink." But TMZ is painting a different picture, one that if you ask Lindsay Lohan, can only end badly. TMZ has footage of the actress seemingly stumbling out of a West Hollywood club on St. Patrick's Day and hopping behind the wheel despite pleas from the paparazzi to hail a cab. Then on March 22, a similar scenario went down outside the same club. This time, Bynes emerged, stumbling and being propped up by two friends who had to pour her into a car - which thankfully, she didn't drive that time. Bynes is most recently famous for "retiring" from showbiz back in 2010 at the ripe old age of 24 - her father says her unwillingness to work again makes her the target of rumors. "She is a good girl. She just chooses not to work, and because of that, people go after her." Including the cops, apparently.
