Brown's Abuse Not Forgiven or Forgotten

All the talent in the world isn't going to absolve Chris Brown for the beatdown he gave to ex-girlfriend Rihanna three years ago. Although CBS and the Grammys may have let the 20-year-old slide, it appears the rest of Hollywood ain't so forgiving. It was almost three years to the day that Brown left fellow Barbados beauty Rihanna battered, bruised and bitten following a pre-Grammy party. Despite felony assault charges, Brown has managed to stay in the spotlight. Many stars are calling out the head honchos for allowing the "Beautiful People" singer to perform not once, but twice. Brown also picked up a Grammy for best R & B album for FAME. However, FAME comes at a price for Brown, and not everybody is willing to let bygones be bygones. Miranda Lambert didn't waste any time tweeting her thoughts on Brown's presence at the award ceremony: "Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl ... Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys." "Gunpowder and Lead" happens to be a song about a woman who plans on killing her abusive hubby when he's released from jail. Sherri Shepherd tweeted, "Looks like all is forgiven (with) Chris Brown. That's all I'll say." And singer Michelle Branch wrote, "Chris Brown ... (bites tongue) have we forgiven him?" And it's not like Brown isn't aware of his haters. On Grammy night, the "Deuces" singer Tweeted, "Team breezy we have come along way and I'm so appreciative of you guys!!!! No matter what anyone says.... WE MADE IT!!" Of course, what's generating the most buzz surrounding Brown is an article called "25 Extremely Upsetting Reactions to Chris Brown at the Grammys," which pulls a number of disturbing Tweets supporting Brown and his angry actions. Gems include, "I'd let Chris Brown beat me up anytime ;) #womanbeater," "Like I've said multiple times before, Chris Brown can beat me all he wants... I'd do anything to have him oh my, " and "I don't know why Rihanna complained. Chris Brown could beat me anytime he wanted to." Um, she couldn't complain, seeing how her mouth had been used as Brown's personal punching bag. Just saying...
