Britney Not in a Toxic Relationship

Her reps have debunked it, and now sound experts are questioning the integrity of an audio tape that Jason Alexander gave to Star. The tape details Britney Spears' alleged account of the beatings she's taken at the hands of her boyfriend, Jason Trawick. Britney's ex claims to have remained friends with the pop star after their 55-hour 2004 marriage, but her reps say the two haven't spoken in years. Brit's rep tells People magazine, "The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication as Britney has not had any form of communication with Mr. Alexander in years. The audio recording ... purporting to be between Britney Spears and Jason Alexander is so obviously fake as to be laughable." Tom Owen of OWL Investigations is an audio expert and Chairman of the Audio Engineering Society Standards Committee of Forensic Audio, who tells TMZ the recording was "doctored." The tape was "stepped on at least 3 times," he says, meaning there's no way to tell whose voice it is. And he says Britney's voice is so normal-sounding that it's easy to manipulate and make it sound like anyone. Sounds like things could get chaotic in court if Alexander presses on...
