Levi Johnston is preparing to welcome a second child into the world despite paying for the first -- at least that's what baby mama Bristol Palin says. Bristol's legal eagle tells TMZ that the former Playgirl model hasn't paid a dime toward son Tripp in almost two years. The high school dropout is court-ordered to pay a whopping $1,750 a month in child support. That puts him about $38,500 in the red. As of yet, Bristol hasn't taken gone to any great lengths to collect, according to TMZ. But that's only because she hopes the former centerfold's conscience will get the best of him, her attorney says. Bristol's lawyer maintains, "We forbore pursuing child support collection in the (perhaps naive) hope that Mr. Johnston would do what men are supposed to do and pay his support obligation voluntarily." That said, it's a mighty big chunk of change, especially considering Levi has baby number two on the way. Ironically, the lawyer says they worry that enforcing the child support order might make the animosity between Bristol and Levi even worse. As if... Says the lawyer, "We were also concerned that garnishment or other aggressive collection efforts could exacerbate an already strained relationship." So far, Levi is remaining mum, which is ironic because last week he couldn't say enough about the Palins keeping him away from son Tripp. It sounds like maybe this has become a "pay to play" custody situation.
