Just six months after "Sk8er Boi" singer Avril Lavigne started making beautiful music with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, the two have a surprising new project in the works -- a wedding. The couple has managed to keep their relationship on the down low since striking a high note together back in February. A friend of the 27-year-old pop singer told People magazine the dynamic between the two musicians quickly went from professional to personal. Says the source, "A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together." Music isn't all the two have in common -- they're both from Canada. Despite the 10-year age gap, Lavigne and Kroeger are blissfully in love, sources say. Another insider tells People that the whirlwind courtship has gotten the stamp of approval from their loved ones. The insider tells People, "He makes her so happy. Both of their families could not be more excited." Kroeger was no slouch in the ring department. He apparently asked for Lavigne's hand in marriage with a 14-karat ring. Not too shabby. Although the "Someday" singer has never been married before, this will be the second time Lavigne has tied the knot. She was previously married to Deryck Whibley, lead singer of Sum 41. Her last relationship was with Hills hottie Brody Jenner.
