Ellen Barkin is fuming mad after she says she was manhandled by a member of the NYPD. The Sea of Love actress maintains she was out for a stroll when she was shoved by a man in blue. Trouble started when the 57-year-old witnessed police making "random arrests of non protestors" early New Year's Day. She Tweeted, "Walking home...13th & 6th, police making random arrests of non protesters. Young girl in police van screaming 'I'm just trying 2 get home.'" Barkin was obviously preoccupied by the sight as she followed up with, "People being thrown in police vans, arrested for 'jaywalking' What happened to the NYPD of my youth?Who are u all? Shame shame on u all." The scene escalated from there as Barkin herself then got into it with an officer. She Tweeted, "Just threatened on my street by NYPD,cop shoved me,both hands, onto sidewalk..Is it a crime 2 stand in the street in NY?WTF is going on here?" Barkin's new beau, director Sam Levinson, recorded the whole debacle on video. Barkin's wild tangent doesn't end there. She later Tweeted, "F&*k all of u,Bloomberg & every1 goose-stepping behind u.I cannot believe what I am seeing.U protect nothing.U ARE the violence in my city." So far the NYPD has yet to issue a statement regarding Barkin's claims.
