Barbara Walters is known as a tenacious interviewer, so it came as somewhat of a surprise when Lindsay Lohan agreed to be interviewed by her, particularly following her very public fight with her mom and the ensuing phone call to her dad, who taped the conversation. But The Daily alleges that Lifetime is desperate to have Lohan promote the film Liz & Dick, so they ponied up the $46,000 tab that Lohan ran up - then skipped out on - at the Chateau Marmont. Lohan was kicked out in August after staying there for 47 days, running up a $3,100 minibar tab and spending $686 on cigarettes. Sources say she allegedly demanded Lifetime clear up the charges or she wouldn't do the Babwa sit-down, and it looks like they did. Lohan and friends reappeared at the haunt for tea and a late-night bite last week.
