To drop more than 200 pounds, Fogle ate the same thing every day: no breakfast, 6" turkey sub and a bag of baked chips for lunch and a 12" veggie sub for dinner, topped with nothing but extra vegetables. Plus unlimited diet soda throughout the day. Jared's calorie intake was under 1,000 calories daily. The diet might have quickly become boring and unbearable to many people, however, Jared stuck with it.
Throughout his weight loss passage, Jared consulted his father, a physician, for medical advice to ensure that he was getting the proper amount of vitamins and minerals. Since the crusade that made Jared a household name, many others have followed in his footsteps. Subway has even become a leader in providing healthy, convenient fast food options with its menu of 6" inch sandwiches under 6 grams of fat.
Experts recommend that you consult your doctor before taking a trip on the Subway.

then at 6pm a center cut pork shop cooked on top of the stove just like I did the egg. at 7pm I had one Fudgesicle. My activity (I sat at work) but I lived in a condo with stairs. had dogs to walk so there was a lot of walking the stairs and outside each morning late afternoon and early night. Not much in carbs. I drank water. So in fact if you eat the same amount of calories (same food) and increase your activity you will lose weight. This is not new and wasn't when Jared did his diet. It just happened that he had Subway near him and took advantage and knew what to Not include in the subs. If you go to a Subway and ask for the 6" inch low fat sub they then ask you what you want on it. If you add the fatty dressings etc then you are defeating the purpose. Maybe a mustard would work....
Anyway try it. Stick to it. And for a change you can use different chicken slices instead of turkey with the swiss cheese and a chicken breast instead of a pork chop. Also there are different flavors of Yogurt! Just some ideas to put out there for those who don't have the Subway nearby!
And as for the diet soda, I'd skip it and just drink water, to anybody considering this diet. Diet soda has no calories, but plenty of chemicals that can hurt you in large amounts, or make you retain water, which will make it seem like you're losing little or no weight. I also heard a story from a guy once who said his daughter was on the track team, needed to lose some weight, and a friend told her to drink Diet Mountain Dew, so she left a 12-pack in her Jeep and drank it every day. Unfortunately one of the ingredients in DMD turns into formeldahyde at high temperatures, so she was basically embalming herself and making herself very sick. She hasn't been able to run since more than a few yards.
In other words, whatever Jared did, be careful what you drink.
Over the years I have seen so many diet fads that were and are the way to go; its know wonder that people are obese!
If you want to live a healthy life style
then stay away from diets and be smart enough to figure out what works for you and realize that everybody is different and what works for one may not work for another!!!
And as always, somebody has to rag on the parent. I'm sure his father addressed Jared's weight problem more than once. Jared was a grown man when he started the diet. It had to be his decision.
