Late for an Important Date? Get Ready Fast

When the opportunity to go out on date night with a new guy - or even your husband - presents itself, it may be tempting just to stay in and do the same old thing. But you can get primped and polished and out the door in a hurry with just a few minutes and a few products. The same goes for those snooze-button mornings when you oversleep or just can't seem to get it together in time to get to work. First, if you washed your face well the night before, then it's not necessary to scrub and scrub again, unless your face feels really oily. Simply rub a wet washcloth gently over your face to clean it. Skip the moisturizer and foundation and opt for a tinted moisturizer. Follow it with a concealer stick under your eyes - think of applying it like football players apply eyeblack! - and smooth it in with your fingers. The warmth from your hands will help it go on evenly. Use a creamy, shimmery eye shadow next - the shine will wake up eyes and eliminate that just-rolled-out-of-bed look. Give your entire face a dusting of powder to set everything.
No need to apply painstaking eyeliner - simply use your mascara a little more liberally. Take a business card and put it behind your lashes, then take the mascara wand and wiggle it at the base of the lashes to apply mascara heavier in that area. Pull the wand out past your lashes. Apply creamy blush to the apples of your cheeks with your fingers, and add the same color to your lips. It may be tempting to throw hair up into a ponytail, and that's OK if you want to. But jazz up your usual ponytail by sweeping it up into a bun or adding sparkly accessories, such as barrettes. With a few tips and the right products, you can go from gloomy to glam in minutes.
