It looks like John Mayer's shadow days aren't over after all. The rocker of ill repute supposedly spent last Saturday night courting Hollywood's hottest new star at the Medieval Times. According to Radaronline.com, the 34-year-old musician got busy wooing screen siren Jennifer Lawrence. While he was busy waxing poetic with the 21-year-old Hunger Games star, it's likely that he failed to acknowledge she's in a committed relationship with X-Men: First Class star Nicholas Hoult. Despite being "madly in love" with Hoult, Lawrence was supposedly buying whatever Mayer was selling. One bystander tells Radaronline.com, "It was almost like she was a little nervous being around him. She kept giggling and covering her mouth. It was cute. And John was eyeing up Jennifer like he was a dog and she was a juicy pork chop! When he lays on the charm, he lays it on real thick!" Mayer, who was dressed like Friar Tuck, was actually the life of the party, says the insider. He had no qualms about going medieval. The source recounts, "He's really well read so he kept using his knowledge of the medieval era to make puns and crack everyone up. He was even putting on an English accent at times and ordering 'beer-eth.' Jennifer thought he was a riot. It was like a freshman having a crush on the captain of the football team." Although Lawrence and Mayer went their separate ways that evening, he was later seen shopping with her and actress Zooey Deschanel. And it sounds like there's no doubt that she is his latest conquest. A separate source revealed to Radaronline.com: "John could hardly take his eyes off Jennifer. It looked like he was totally smitten! At one point he was walking along behind her and massaging her shoulders." Should Mayer capture Lawrence's heart, he can add her to his lengthy list of dalliances that reportedly includes Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, Minka Kelly, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Renee Zellweger.
