| Jessica Simpson Wins Some to Lose Some |

If most of us had a dollar for every pound we lost, it would amount to enough to buy dinner at the Olive Garden. But that's not the case for actress/singer Jessica Simpson. The new mom reportedly gained around 75 pounds during her pregnancy. And to shed the baby fat, she is said to be earning a whopping $4 million, courtesy of Weight Watchers. In case you don't have a calculator handy, that works out to about $53,333 per pound, which is nothing to shake a stick at. On Thursday, the former Dukes of Hazzard star Tweeted, "So excited to be part of the @WeightWatchers family!" Although Simpson has already amassed a fortune with her successful clothing, perfume and other product lines, she has continuously fallen short on maintaining her weight loss throughout the years. In fact, she's received for more media attention for her yo-yoing than anything else. So far, Simpson hasn't been spotted out and about since giving birth to baby Maxwell. WW is banking on the fact that Simpson will shed the weight and keep it off. They issued the following statement saying, "We're thrilled that Jessica Simpson has chosen to join Weight Watchers to adopt a healthier lifestyle and inspire others to do the same." Hopefully, Simpson achieves the same kind of success as her predecessors -- Jennifer Hudson, Kirstie Alley, Jenny McCarthy and Sarah Ferguson.
