Phillip Phillips' health issues were well-documented during season 11 of American Idol. The native Georgian, who suffers from chronic kidney stones, powered through the season despite nearly quitting the competition due to the pain and complications. "It was rough at times, and there were a couple of times I thought about going ahead and getting the surgery done...But I had a lot of great doctors and a lot of great people who helped me out through it. "If I can sing with all those kidney stones in me, I can make the first date," he says.
