| Hudson Family Killer Found Guilty |

It's been a rollercoaster ride of emotions for actress and singer Jennifer Hudson as the man who killed her mother, brother and nephew was tried for their deaths. William Balfour initially pled guilty back in 2009 when he was indicted three months after their deaths in October 2008. But last Friday, a jury took three days to find Balfour guilty of all three deaths. The Dreamgirls actress took the stand herself in the trial, telling the prosecution that she saw her family just days before Balfour slaughtered them. Hudson's testimony seemed to help determine Balfour's fate because she told the jury that she never liked him and kept her distance from him, TMZ reports. "Where he was, I tried not to be. So if I saw him, I separated myself," she testified. Now no one has to be near Balfour -- he faces a mandatory life sentence for killing more than one person. Hudson celebrated the verdict less than 24 hours later with a trip to Six Flags with her husband, David Otunga.
