Disco queen Donna Summer took her Last Dance Thursday morning. The "She Works Hard for the Money" crooner died of lung cancer at age 63 in her Key West, Fla., home. Summer, who was born LaDonna Adrian Gaines, was a staple of 1970s disco music and continued her career well into the '80s with hits like "I Feel Love." Celebrities took to Twitter to show her the love, tweeting condolences like Ryan Seacrest's fond memory: "I remember sitting in the front seat of my mom's toyota while she sang Donna Summer's "she works hard for the money" songs were just classic." Ellen DeGeneres, who's enjoyed many a Donna dance in the intro of her show, wrote, "I'm so sad about the news that Donna Summer died this morning. I was a big fan. I even used one of her songs in my show that airs today." Summer was suffering from lung cancer, a disease even her manager didn't know the intensely private singer had. Her family issued the following statement: "Early this morning, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith. While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy. Words truly can't express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time." Summer is survived by daughters Brooklyn and Amanda, her grown daughters with husband Bruce Sudano, a fellow musician whom she married in 1980, and Mimi, her eldest daughter with first husband, actor Helmuth Sommer.
