| Cruise-Holmes: It's Settled! |

It looks like Tom Cruise will get his wish -- no nasty, public court case for his divorce from Katie Holmes. The high-profile couple were set to duke it out, but it looks like that isn't going to happen. Lawyers from both sides worked through the weekend, and Holmes herself spent at least six hours in a marathon session at her attorney's New York office Saturday to hammer out a deal, according to TMZ. Holmes' lawyer confirmed the news Monday morning: "This case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life," Jonathan Wolfe said. He continued, "We thank Tom's counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution." Bert Fields, Cruise's counsel, followed up with his own statement to TMZ: "The Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes case has been settled with a signed agreement. Tom is really pleased we got there, and so am I." He should be pleased - any ugly details that may have emerged in a trial will never see the light of day, thanks to the confidentiality of a settlement. Cruise had said time with his daughter Suri was a must - and a dealbreaker - for the settlement. It looks like both sides hammered out details about custody, visitation, support and property, all in one shot.
