It's Bobby Brown's prerogative -- and that prerogative is to check into rehab. The New Edition singer is reportedly getting help for alcohol abuse. And not a moment too soon. Brown was busted for driving under the influence back in March. And it wasn't the first for Brown who's previously been arrested for drug possession, driving under the influence and driving while intoxicated. That doesn't include the charges for resisting arrest, misdemeanor battery and failure to pay child support. It seemed that Brown had put his bad boy behavior behind him, but apparently that's not the case. According to Radaronline.com, Brown's fellow band members had a major issue with Brown's hard-partying ways. Meanwhile, sources tell TMZ that Brown recognized he needed professional help to cease his boozy ways. The insider adds that the R & B singer "decided that he needed help and wants to make the best out of the rest of his life for his children's sake." So off to rehab he went. The 43-year-old's new wife Alicia Etheredge told Radaronline.com that Brown is "doing great" in treatment. The singer's substance abuse issues appear to have gotten worse since the death of ex-wife Whitney Houston back in February. However, he has long battled with addiction. Although the Don't Be Cruel singer has a history of abusing cocaine, crack, heroin and marijuana, it seems booze is his problem du jour.
