Tongues are wagging after on-again, off-again lovers Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan were spotted cozying up to each other over the weekend at a New York City nightspot. The controversial couple who last had a dramatic split back in 2009 were back in action, according to X17online. Sources say that the tumultuous twosome were "whispering and laughing." The spy maintains they even left a New York club holding hands. The insider tells X17, "It was just like the old days - they couldn't get enough of each other!" This isn't the first time the DJ and the actress have tried to patch things up -- and failed. After two years of dating in 2007, Sam-Ron went through a very public break-up, chock full of turmoil. The drama-loving duo gave their relationship another shot in 2011. However, their efforts quickly fell flat. This time around, both women maintain they are trying to smooth things over. An insider tells TMZ that they have no plans on getting back together, but instead are just clearing the air. The source says they are "just friends. That's it. Nothing more." Coincidentally, Ronson is currently promoting her new album, and Lohan is working on what will hopefully be her career comeback. No word on whether their professional agendas have anything to do with the rebirth of their personal relationship.
